GLP-1 Savings Cards: 4 Assistance Paths and 2026 Rules

Sources current as of 2026-10-09 · Prices checked 2026-10-09 – 2026-10-09 · Prices and terms can change.
GLP-1 savings cards are not interchangeable with insurance, self-pay offers or patient assistance. Start with the exact prescribed product and your coverage category, then check the current programme rules, maximum discount and refill price. Medicare has a separate GLP-1 Bridge pathway; a commercial-card exclusion does not settle all assistance options. [S1][S2][S3][S4]
Publisher disclosure and how to use this guide
**Sources checked October 9, 2026.** Clinic Scout is an independent comparison publisher, not a clinic, insurer, pharmacy or programme administrator. This guide does not determine personal eligibility or recommend a medicine. All of its checklists are available on this page without providing contact details or health information. Four different ways to pay, four different questions
The word “savings” covers several arrangements. The checked Zepbound and Wegovy commercial offers describe assistance for qualifying commercially insured patients. Wegovy also has a separate self-pay offer with its own reimbursement restrictions. Novo Nordisk's Patient Assistance Program describes free medicine for qualifying applicants, while Medicare describes a separate GLP-1 Bridge programme. Do not treat those routes as different names for the same benefit. [S1][S2][S3][S4]
Write down the route before comparing the amount. An insured pharmacy claim after a coupon, a self-pay purchase and approved patient assistance have different conditions. Comparing only their smallest advertised numbers hides those differences. Ask the pharmacy or programme administrator to identify the basis of any quoted amount and whether it is a current actual quote or an illustration.
| Financial route | What to establish before relying on it |
|---|---|
| Commercial manufacturer savings offer | Whether the prescribed product, insurance arrangement and patient meet that offer's terms; a minimum advertised price is subject to savings limits. [S1][S2] |
| Manufacturer self-pay offer | Which product presentation, supply period and offer apply outside insurance, and whether reimbursement is prohibited. [S2] |
| Patient assistance programme | Whether the exact medicine is included and the applicant meets the programme's insurance, income and documentation requirements. [S4] |
| Medicare GLP-1 Bridge | Whether the beneficiary and prescribed product meet the separate Medicare programme's requirements; this is not a manufacturer commercial savings card. [S3] |
Commercial cards: “as little as” is not everyone's bill
Wegovy's checked commercial offer requires commercial insurance that covers the specified Wegovy product, not commercial insurance alone. It states “pay as little as $25,” subject to maximum savings of $100 for a one-month prescription, $200 for two months or $300 for three months, for the listed injection and tablet presentations. Patients need a valid prescription for an FDA-approved indication, must satisfy the offer each time, and remain subject to the government-programme and accumulator/maximizer exclusions described below. Novo Nordisk and its programme manager reserve the right to rescind, revoke or amend the offer without notice at any time. The $25 figure is not an unlimited promise to erase the balance left by insurance. [S2][S11]
Zepbound's checked covered-commercial single-dose-pen terms describe a $25 minimum, with maximum savings of $100, $200 or $300 for the respective one-, two- or three-month fill and a separate annual limit of $1,300. The card permits up to 13 prescription fills per calendar year and requires a valid patient HIPAA authorization. Commercial-card eligibility includes a prescription for an approved labeled use, age 18 or older and residence in the United States or Puerto Rico; the single-dose pen requires commercial drug insurance, while the commercial KwikPen route requires insurance that does not cover that presentation. The listed government-funded programmes are excluded from the commercial card. Card savings end December 31, 2026; Lilly may terminate, rescind, revoke or amend eligibility or terms without notice for any reason. These are dated programme conditions, not a personal pharmacy quote. [S1][S10]
A useful pharmacy question is: “After my plan processes this exact prescription, what will I owe, how much will the manufacturer programme contribute, and which limit applies?” Request all three figures rather than treating the advertised minimum as the answer. If a quote changes, ask whether the cause is the insurance claim, the programme's limits, the product or another condition before assuming the pharmacy made a mistake.
Do not substitute “I have insurance” for “my insurance covers this product.” Zepbound's terms separate commercial insurance that covers the single-dose pen from commercial insurance that does not cover it; those categories have different offers. The same brand name therefore does not establish the same financial result for two readers. [S1]
Compare the supply period and presentation
A manufacturer's “month” can describe a particular package rather than a calendar month. Wegovy's checked terms define an injection month as one box of four single-dose pens, a 28-day supply; for tablets, the month is a bottle of 30 tablets, a 30-day supply. Those definitions matter when comparing pharmacy quotes or estimating a sequence of fills. [S2]
Zepbound's terms distinguish the single-dose pen and single-patient-use KwikPen, including separate commercial categories and package definitions. Do not transfer a price or savings cap from one presentation to another. Ask the pharmacy to identify the exact presentation on the prescription before treating a quoted price as applicable. [S1]
This is a financial comparison, not an instruction to choose a dose, change a prescription or stretch a supply. Strength and presentation labels identify the commercial offer being discussed. Treatment selection and any changes belong with the prescribing clinician.
| Term on the offer | What to record |
|---|---|
| One-month supply | The number of days and package definition, not an assumed calendar month. [S1][S2] |
| Maximum savings | The maximum manufacturer contribution for that fill, plus any annual ceiling. [S1][S2] |
| Introductory offer | The eligible product, new-patient definition, permitted number of fills and end date. [S2] |
| Standard price | The amount that applies when an introductory offer no longer applies, subject to current programme rules. [S2] |
Introductory self-pay offers need a refill check
Wegovy's checked injection self-pay terms include a $199 limited-time offer for specified 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg packages. The programme defines new patients as eligible patients who have not redeemed a Wegovy injection savings offer in the previous 365 days, limits the introductory offer to the first two 28-day fills and requires redemption and filling by December 31, 2026. A third fill returns to the standard offer price. These are commercial restrictions, not a suggested treatment sequence. [S2]
Dated programme amounts, not personal quotes.
The following amounts were checked October 9, 2026. They describe prescription offers, not consultation fees or total treatment costs. Strengths identify the commercial packages being compared, not a dosing recommendation. [S10][S11]
The 45-day rule is a purchase-offer condition, not permission to delay, accelerate or otherwise change treatment. Ask the programme which commercial or self-pay card applies before using a number from a different row. A remaining annual allowance does not override a monthly savings cap. [S10]
For every Wegovy self-pay row above, the checked terms require a valid prescription for the brand being filled, a valid prescriber ID on that prescription, and an FDA-approved indication within Wegovy's labeling. The offer is valid only in the United States and its territories, unless prohibited by law, and at participating retail pharmacies; Massachusetts availability depends on applicable state law. It is for patients whose insurance does not cover Wegovy or who are self-paying/opting to process outside insurance, and eligibility requirements must be met each time. The purchase operates outside third-party insurance: neither you nor someone acting on your behalf may seek payment or accept reimbursement from insurance, a healthcare reimbursement account or another third-party payer, or apply the costs toward deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements. Patients whose alternate-funding arrangement requires applying for this offer or using an alternate-funding vendor as a condition of Wegovy coverage are excluded and must notify the programme if enrolled in such an arrangement. Novo Nordisk may reduce, modify or discontinue savings with or without notice; the parties may rescind, revoke or amend the offer without notice at any time. These conditions accompany the October 9, 2026 amounts, not a personal eligibility determination. [S11]
For a fuller product-specific comparison, see our Zepbound and Wegovy savings terms guide. This page's role is to help you identify the relevant assistance route; that companion guide examines the two manufacturers' offers more closely. Always return to the current official terms before relying on either article's dated summary.
| Programme and presentation | Captured financial facts and conditions |
|---|---|
| Wegovy injection self-pay: 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg packages | $199 for each of the first two 28-day fills for eligible new patients who have not redeemed an injection savings offer in the previous 365 days. Redeem and fill by December 31, 2026; the third fill returns to $349 for one 28-day box of four single-dose pens. Standard two- and three-month amounts for these packages are $698 and $1,047. The self-pay route is for insurance that does not cover Wegovy or patients opting to process outside insurance; its reimbursement restrictions still apply. [S11] |
| Wegovy tablets self-pay: 1.5 mg | Standard offer: $149 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $298 for two bottles (60 days); $447 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] |
| Wegovy tablets self-pay: 4 mg | Standard offer: $199 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $398 for two bottles (60 days); $597 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] |
| Wegovy tablets self-pay: 9 mg or 25 mg | Standard offer for either strength: $299 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $598 for two bottles (60 days); $897 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] |
| Wegovy injection self-pay: standard 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg packages | Standard offer: $349 for one four-pen box (28 days); $698 for two boxes (56 days); $1,047 for three boxes (84 days). Applies when the limited-time offer does not apply. [S11] |
| Wegovy injection self-pay: HD 7.2 mg package | Standard offer: $399 for one four-pen box (28 days); $798 for two boxes (56 days); $1,197 for three boxes (84 days). Injection boxes contain single-dose pens, not tablets. [S11] |
| Zepbound single-dose pen: noncovered commercial insurance | As low as $499 for a 28-day fill of up to four pens; maximum monthly savings is wholesale acquisition cost minus $499. Up to 13 fills per calendar year, with valid patient HIPAA authorization. The commercial eligibility and exclusions above apply; savings end December 31, 2026. [S10] |
| Zepbound KwikPen: noncovered commercial insurance | One 28-day KwikPen: 2.5 mg as low as $299, savings cap $215; 5 mg as low as $399, cap $115; 7.5 mg as low as $449, cap $65; 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg as low as $449, cap $271. Up to 11 fills per calendar year with valid patient HIPAA authorization, commercial-card eligibility and exclusions, and December 31, 2026 expiration. The $449 amounts require the purchase-offer condition below. [S10] |
| Zepbound KwikPen: separate self-pay card | The same presentation-specific amounts and monthly savings caps above, with up to 11 fills per calendar year and December 31, 2026 expiration. This route requires an approved-use prescription, age 18 or older, and residence in the United States or Puerto Rico. It operates outside insurance: do not seek third-party reimbursement or apply the purchase to deductible or true out-of-pocket obligations. Alternate-funding exclusions and noncombination rules also apply. [S10] |
| Zepbound KwikPen: $449 purchase offer and regular price | The first purchase of 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg receives the $449 offer automatically; continuing eligibility requires a refill purchase within 45 days of delivery/receipt of the previous fill. Later purchases outside that window do not receive the offer. Regular one-month prices: $299 for 2.5 mg, $399 for 5 mg, $499 for 7.5 mg and $699 for 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg; additional taxes and fees may apply. Lilly can change or end the purchase offer, with or without notice. [S10] |
Government coverage: separate the commercial exclusion from other options
The checked Wegovy commercial copay offer excludes patients enrolled in federal or state healthcare programmes with prescription coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD and TRICARE. Zepbound's commercial card terms also exclude the listed government-funded programmes. These are the terms of those commercial offers, not proof that a person with government coverage has no other route to assistance. [S1][S2]
In particular, Medicare's current page describes the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a temporary separate programme that began July 1, 2026 for certain people with Part D coverage. It lists Foundayo tablets, Wegovy injection or tablets, and Zepbound KwikPen; the page specifically excludes single-dose Zepbound vials and pens from this programme. Product presentation matters here as well as in commercial pricing. [S3]
Medicare states that qualifying programme prescriptions have a $50 pharmacy copayment for a one-month supply, defined as 28 or 30 days depending on the drug. The programme has its own clinical and coverage requirements. This article does not screen a reader against those requirements, guarantee approval or recommend selecting a drug to fit a benefit. Ask the prescriber and Medicare to assess the applicable pathway. [S3]
Medicare also says the Bridge copayment does not count toward the regular Medicare drug plan's deductible or out-of-pocket limit, cannot be lowered by Extra Help, and cannot be spread over multiple months through the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan. Those limits describe the Bridge copayment, not every other Medicare prescription expense. Keep the programme name attached when discussing them. [S3]
For broader questions about an insurer's role, see insurance support versus actual coverage. Administrative help from a programme is not the same as an approved claim or a confirmed patient payment.
| Coverage question | Why a single “yes” or “no” is insufficient |
|---|---|
| Can I use this commercial card? | The manufacturer applies that specific offer's insurance and other restrictions. [S1][S2] |
| Is there a Medicare pathway? | The Bridge is separate and has its own beneficiary, product and clinical requirements. [S3] |
| Will a self-pay purchase count toward my plan limits? | The checked Wegovy self-pay terms prohibit applying the purchase toward deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements. [S2] |
| Does an assistance programme accept my medicine and coverage? | Novo Nordisk's PAP has product-specific restrictions as well as general requirements. [S4] |
Patient assistance is not a universal free-GLP-1 card
Novo Nordisk's current Patient Assistance Program page says it provides medicine at no cost to qualifying applicants and does not charge a registration or monthly participation fee. The page also lists general eligibility requirements and product-specific qualifications. It is not a promise of free medicine to everyone who finds a savings card unaffordable. [S4]
For the Ozempic pen, the checked page says uninsured applicants must have total household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. It also says Medicare beneficiaries with prescription drug coverage will no longer be eligible to receive Ozempic through this PAP. Do not replace those product-specific statements with the income threshold shown elsewhere for other products. [S4]
The programme links to a current product list and warns that some medicines are no longer part of the programme for 2026. A medicine from the same manufacturer, or another product containing the same active ingredient, should not be assumed included. Check the exact product before completing an application. This guide does not imply that Ozempic assistance is a Wegovy offer or that the brands have interchangeable indications. [S4]
Ask the programme administrator which application and supporting documents apply to your situation. The PAP page describes patient and provider portions of the application and additional documentation in applicable circumstances. We do not collect income records, insurance identifiers, prescriptions or medical histories; provide sensitive information only through the programme's appropriate process after checking the destination. [S4]
Our patient assistance versus savings comparison explains the category distinction in more detail. Do not assume that a commercial-card rejection, a PAP decision and an insurance denial are the same event or can be resolved using the same instructions.
Where to check other product savings and pharmacy discount cards
These are navigation checks, not a claim that every named product still has a card or that any reader qualifies. Use the official destination for the exact prescription; a competitor's savings heading does not establish current availability. The checks below were made October 9, 2026. [S12][S13][S14][S15][S16]
**Mounjaro:** Lilly's current savings and support page presents a Mounjaro Savings Card with separate covered- and noncovered-commercial categories. Review its own eligibility and full terms rather than applying Zepbound's caps or package rules. The official terms require an approved-use prescription and commercial drug insurance, exclude the listed government-funded programmes, and state that the card expires December 31, 2026. An uninsured reader should check the page's separate affordability guidance rather than assume that the commercial card applies. [S12][S18]
**Ozempic:** The official savings page describes a savings offer for commercially insured patients with Ozempic coverage, while separately presenting self-pay pathways. Check the specified presentation and the linked full eligibility terms before treating either route as available to you. This commercial savings topic is separate from the Ozempic PAP rules discussed above; one programme's rejection does not establish the other programme's decision. [S13]
**Rybelsus:** The official savings and support page offers a downloadable Savings Card and identifies the offer as limited to eligible commercially insured patients with product coverage. Its supply and presentation terms are its own, not Wegovy's. Use the official linked eligibility rules to verify the prescription and insurance arrangement; this routing summary does not provide an individual price or approval decision. [S14]
**Victoza:** The official support page supplies insurance-cost support and patient-assistance guidance. A current commercial savings-card amount, cap and expiration are not stated in the captured page. We therefore do not represent a Victoza card as available or assign it a price. Contact the official support channel linked there for the current financial options, and separately confirm the PAP's current product list and eligibility. [S15]
**Saxenda:** The official savings-card page says new enrollment ended June 30, 2023 and benefits for offers activated and redeemed by that date lasted until December 31, 2023. That dated notice does not support a currently enrollable Saxenda Savings Offer. Check the official page and programme support for current affordability options rather than applying an old card's terms or substituting a different medicine's offer. [S16]
**Pharmacy discount cards:** Treat this as a cash-price comparison category, not proof of insurance or a manufacturer copay benefit. Medicare's drug-cost help page says discount cards are not creditable coverage and purchases made with them instead of a Medicare plan do not count toward that plan's deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Ask the pharmacy to compare the exact prescription under your insurance and the discount arrangement, identify the issuer and participating pharmacy, and explain how the transaction will be processed. Do not assume a discount can be stacked: the Wegovy commercial offer does not accept cash-discount cards as primary insurance and prohibits combinations except its stated automatic-eVoucher exception. Availability and a final cash-card quote were not verified here. [S17][S11]
Restrictions worth checking before the pharmacy submits a claim
The current Wegovy commercial terms address accumulator and maximizer arrangements and state that patients whose insurer implements the described arrangements are not eligible to use that savings programme. They also distinguish certain employee and exchange plans from government programmes for the offer's purposes. A plan's marketing label alone may not tell a reader which restrictions apply. Ask the plan and manufacturer programme rather than deciding from the word “government” in isolation. [S2]
Zepbound's terms address alternate funding programmes and prohibit combining card savings with other specified discounts or similar offers. Wegovy's commercial terms allow a stated manufacturer automatic-eVoucher exception while otherwise prohibiting combinations with other offers. Consequently, “stack every coupon” is not a reliable general rule. Follow the rules for the actual programme instead. [S1][S2]
If a pharmacy cannot process an offer, ask for the reason and the responsible contact. A programme eligibility problem, a rejected insurance claim, a different product presentation and a timing restriction are different questions. Do not change personal or insurance information to force a claim through. Ask for correction of genuine errors and clarification of the applicable terms.
A financial worksheet that does not choose your treatment
Use this worksheet for each actual offer you are considering. Leave an unknown field marked “not confirmed” rather than entering zero. Separate the first fill from the next fill, because the initial quote alone does not settle ongoing affordability.
The worksheet is editorial decision support, not a benefits calculation or treatment recommendation. Do not multiply an introductory price by twelve and label the result your annual cost without checking the later price, actual supply periods and continued eligibility. Likewise, do not assume that a programme contribution is your own spending for insurance accounting purposes.
| Field to confirm | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Exact prescribed item | Which brand, presentation and package is the quote for? |
| Payment route | Is this an insured claim, manufacturer self-pay purchase, approved assistance or another arrangement? |
| Today's amount | What would the pharmacy actually collect for this fill? |
| Next-fill amount | What changes after the introduction, when a savings limit is reached or when the offer ends? |
| Other expenses | Are any consultations, shipping, supplies or other charges outside this quoted prescription amount? |
| Verification | Who supplied the quote, on what date, and what remains conditional? |
Clinical evidence does not establish savings-card eligibility
Financial-program eligibility is separate from treatment decisions. A savings offer does not determine which medicine is appropriate or provide a stopping, restarting or replacement plan; discuss treatment questions with the prescribing clinician.
Zepbound's FDA label also contains important risks and contraindications. Page 1 includes the boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumours, notes uncertainty about the human relevance of the rodent finding, and lists contraindications including personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. It also summarizes serious adverse-reaction warnings. A discount does not remove these medical considerations; discuss the full label and treatment questions with the clinician. **FDA label, physical page 1.** [S5]
How we check prices
**How we checked:** The Clinic Scout Editorial Team compares dated official manufacturer terms and Medicare guidance, keeping product presentations, supply periods, introductory prices and standard prices separate. We have not verified individual eligibility or checkout totals; these are programme descriptions, not total treatment-cost quotes. Our editorial guidelines explain our organization-only attribution and source-review standards.
Update policy
Our check baseline is October 9, 2026. Lilly's reported card savings and Wegovy's specified introductory offer have December 31, 2026 deadlines; manufacturers also reserve rights to change or end their offers. Recheck official terms before relying on these amounts beyond those reported deadlines, not merely after an annual anniversary. [S10][S11]
Our future recheck triggers are manufacturer price, eligibility, supply or presentation changes; changes to a PAP's included-product list; and Medicare programme changes. We will revisit the affected comparison when those changes are identified. These are future editorial checks, not a claim that later rechecks have already happened. Until a new check is recorded, use the date above and verify the applicable official terms before reliance.
Frequently asked questions
Does a savings card guarantee a $25 prescription?
No. The checked commercial offers use “as little as” language and impose eligibility conditions and maximum savings. The pharmacy's processed claim and the applicable terms determine the patient amount; the headline alone is not a personal quote. [S1][S2]
Can Medicare patients use a commercial manufacturer card?
The checked Zepbound and Wegovy commercial offers exclude the specified government-covered patients. Medicare separately describes the GLP-1 Bridge for certain beneficiaries, and that programme should not be confused with either commercial card. Ask the relevant administrator which route applies. [S1][S2][S3]
Is patient assistance the same as a self-pay discount?
No. Novo Nordisk's PAP describes no-cost medicine for qualifying applicants. Wegovy's self-pay offer describes a purchase outside insurance under separate terms, including reimbursement restrictions. They require different checks and should not be presented as interchangeable. [S2][S4]
Can I apply an introductory offer to every refill?
Not on that assumption. The checked Wegovy injection introduction limits the eligible offer to the first two 28-day fills, with a third fill reverting to the standard price. Confirm the actual product and current terms rather than carrying the introductory number into every future month. [S2]
Can several discounts be combined?
Do not assume so. Zepbound's terms prohibit the specified combinations, while Wegovy's commercial offer describes a specific manufacturer eVoucher exception and otherwise restricts combinations. Ask the programme and pharmacy before trying to combine offers. [S1][S2]
Should I send my insurance or medical information to Clinic Scout?
No. This is a public comparison guide, not an eligibility application or care service. Use the official programme and clinician channels for sensitive documents. The checklist on this page is available without entering personal information.

- > **Quick answer:** GLP-1 savings cards are not interchangeable with insurance, self-pay offers or patient assistance. Start with the exact prescribed product and your coverage category, then check the current programme rules, maximum discount and refill price. Medicare has a separate GLP-1 Bridge pathway; a commercial-card exclusion does not settle all assistance options. [S1][S2][S3][S4]1234
- The word “savings” covers several arrangements. [S1][S2][S3][S4]1234
- | Commercial manufacturer savings offer | Whether the prescribed product, insurance arrangement and patient meet that offer's terms; a minimum advertised price is subject to savings limits. [S1][S2] |12
- | Manufacturer self-pay offer | Which product presentation, supply period and offer apply outside insurance, and whether reimbursement is prohibited. [S2] |2
- | Patient assistance programme | Whether the exact medicine is included and the applicant meets the programme's insurance, income and documentation requirements. [S4] |4
- | Medicare GLP-1 Bridge | Whether the beneficiary and prescribed product meet the separate Medicare programme's requirements; this is not a manufacturer commercial savings card. [S3] |3
- Wegovy's checked commercial offer requires commercial insurance that covers the specified Wegovy product, not commercial insurance alone. [S2][S11]211
- Zepbound's checked covered-commercial single-dose-pen terms describe a $25 minimum, with maximum savings of $100, $200 or $300 for the respective one-, two- or three-month fill and a separate annual limit of $1,300. [S1][S10]110
- Do not substitute “I have insurance” for “my insurance covers this product.” Zepbound's terms separate commercial insurance that covers the single-dose pen from commercial insurance that does not cover it; those categories have different offers. The same brand name therefore does not establish the same financial result for two readers. [S1]1

- Wegovy's checked injection self-pay terms include a $199 limited-time offer for specified 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg packages. [S2]2

- | Wegovy injection self-pay: standard 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg packages | Standard offer: $349 for one four-pen box (28 days); $698 for two boxes (56 days); $1,047 for three boxes (84 days). Applies when the limited-time offer does not apply. [S11] |11
- | Wegovy injection self-pay: HD 7.2 mg package | Standard offer: $399 for one four-pen box (28 days); $798 for two boxes (56 days); $1,197 for three boxes (84 days). Injection boxes contain single-dose pens, not tablets. [S11] |11
- | Zepbound single-dose pen: noncovered commercial insurance | As low as $499 for a 28-day fill of up to four pens; maximum monthly savings is wholesale acquisition cost minus $499. Up to 13 fills per calendar year, with valid patient HIPAA authorization. The commercial eligibility and exclusions above apply; savings end December 31, 2026. [S10] |10
- | Zepbound KwikPen: noncovered commercial insurance | One 28-day KwikPen: 2.5 mg as low as $299, savings cap $215; 5 mg as low as $399, cap $115; 7.5 mg as low as $449, cap $65; 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg as low as $449, cap $271. Up to 11 fills per calendar year with valid patient HIPAA authorization, commercial-card eligibility and exclusions, and December 31, 2026 expiration. The $449 amounts require the purchase-offer condition below. [S10] |10
- | Zepbound KwikPen: separate self-pay card | The same presentation-specific amounts and monthly savings caps above, with up to 11 fills per calendar year and December 31, 2026 expiration. [S10] |10
- | Zepbound KwikPen: $449 purchase offer and regular price | The first purchase of 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg receives the $449 offer automatically; continuing eligibility requires a refill purchase within 45 days of delivery/receipt of the previous fill. [S10] |10
- The 45-day rule is a purchase-offer condition, not permission to delay, accelerate or otherwise change treatment. Ask the programme which commercial or self-pay card applies before using a number from a different row. A remaining annual allowance does not override a monthly savings cap. [S10]10
- For every Wegovy self-pay row above, the checked terms require a valid prescription for the brand being filled, a valid prescriber ID on that prescription, and an FDA-approved indication within Wegovy's labeling. [S11]11
- The checked Wegovy commercial copay offer excludes patients enrolled in federal or state healthcare programmes with prescription coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD and TRICARE. Zepbound's commercial card terms also exclude the listed government-funded programmes. These are the terms of those commercial offers, not proof that a person with government coverage has no other route to assistance. [S1][S2]12
- In particular, Medicare's current page describes the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a temporary separate programme that began July 1, 2026 for certain people with Part D coverage. It lists Foundayo tablets, Wegovy injection or tablets, and Zepbound KwikPen; the page specifically excludes single-dose Zepbound vials and pens from this programme. Product presentation matters here as well as in commercial pricing. [S3]3
- Medicare states that qualifying programme prescriptions have a $50 pharmacy copayment for a one-month supply, defined as 28 or 30 days depending on the drug. The programme has its own clinical and coverage requirements. This article does not screen a reader against those requirements, guarantee approval or recommend selecting a drug to fit a benefit. Ask the prescriber and Medicare to assess the applicable pathway. [S3]3
- Medicare also says the Bridge copayment does not count toward the regular Medicare drug plan's deductible or out-of-pocket limit, cannot be lowered by Extra Help, and cannot be spread over multiple months through the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan. Those limits describe the Bridge copayment, not every other Medicare prescription expense. Keep the programme name attached when discussing them. [S3]3
- | Can I use this commercial card? | The manufacturer applies that specific offer's insurance and other restrictions. [S1][S2] |12
- | Is there a Medicare pathway? | The Bridge is separate and has its own beneficiary, product and clinical requirements. [S3] |3
- | Will a self-pay purchase count toward my plan limits? | The checked Wegovy self-pay terms prohibit applying the purchase toward deductible or true out-of-pocket requirements. [S2] |2
- | Does an assistance programme accept my medicine and coverage? | Novo Nordisk's PAP has product-specific restrictions as well as general requirements. [S4] |4
- Novo Nordisk's current Patient Assistance Program page says it provides medicine at no cost to qualifying applicants and does not charge a registration or monthly participation fee. The page also lists general eligibility requirements and product-specific qualifications. It is not a promise of free medicine to everyone who finds a savings card unaffordable. [S4]4
- For the Ozempic pen, the checked page says uninsured applicants must have total household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. It also says Medicare beneficiaries with prescription drug coverage will no longer be eligible to receive Ozempic through this PAP. Do not replace those product-specific statements with the income threshold shown elsewhere for other products. [S4]4
- The programme links to a current product list and warns that some medicines are no longer part of the programme for 2026. A medicine from the same manufacturer, or another product containing the same active ingredient, should not be assumed included. Check the exact product before completing an application. This guide does not imply that Ozempic assistance is a Wegovy offer or that the brands have interchangeable indications. [S4]4
- Ask the programme administrator which application and supporting documents apply to your situation. The PAP page describes patient and provider portions of the application and additional documentation in applicable circumstances. We do not collect income records, insurance identifiers, prescriptions or medical histories; provide sensitive information only through the programme's appropriate process after checking the destination. [S4]4
- These are navigation checks, not a claim that every named product still has a card or that any reader qualifies. Use the official destination for the exact prescription; a competitor's savings heading does not establish current availability. The checks below were made October 9, 2026. - **Mounjaro:** Lilly's [current savings and support page](https://mounjaro.lilly.com/savings-resources) presents a Mounjaro Savings Card with separate covered- and noncovered-commercial categories. [S12][S18]1218
- **Ozempic:** The [official savings page](https://www.ozempic.com/savings-and-resources/save-on-ozempic.html) describes a savings offer for commercially insured patients with Ozempic coverage, while separately presenting self-pay pathways. Check the specified presentation and the linked full eligibility terms before treating either route as available to you. This commercial savings topic is separate from the Ozempic PAP rules discussed above; one programme's rejection does not establish the other programme's decision. [S13]13
- **Rybelsus:** The [official savings and support page](https://www.rybelsus.com/savings-and-support.html) offers a downloadable Savings Card and identifies the offer as limited to eligible commercially insured patients with product coverage. Its supply and presentation terms are its own, not Wegovy's. Use the official linked eligibility rules to verify the prescription and insurance arrangement; this routing summary does not provide an individual price or approval decision. [S14]14
- **Victoza:** The [official support page](https://www.victoza.com/victoza-support-and-savings.html) supplies insurance-cost support and patient-assistance guidance. A current commercial savings-card amount, cap and expiration are not stated in the captured page. We therefore do not represent a Victoza card as available or assign it a price. Contact the official support channel linked there for the current financial options, and separately confirm the PAP's current product list and eligibility. [S15]15
- **Saxenda:** The [official savings-card page](https://www.novocare.com/saxenda/savings-card.html) says new enrollment ended June 30, 2023 and benefits for offers activated and redeemed by that date lasted until December 31, 2023. That dated notice does not support a currently enrollable Saxenda Savings Offer. Check the official page and programme support for current affordability options rather than applying an old card's terms or substituting a different medicine's offer. [S16]16
- **Pharmacy discount cards:** Treat this as a cash-price comparison category, not proof of insurance or a manufacturer copay benefit. Medicare's [drug-cost help page](https://www.medicare.gov/basics/costs/help/drug-costs) says discount cards are not creditable coverage and purchases made with them instead of a Medicare plan do not count toward that plan's deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. [S17][S11]1711
- The current Wegovy commercial terms address accumulator and maximizer arrangements and state that patients whose insurer implements the described arrangements are not eligible to use that savings programme. They also distinguish certain employee and exchange plans from government programmes for the offer's purposes. A plan's marketing label alone may not tell a reader which restrictions apply. Ask the plan and manufacturer programme rather than deciding from the word “government” in isolation. [S2]2
- Zepbound's terms address alternate funding programmes and prohibit combining card savings with other specified discounts or similar offers. Wegovy's commercial terms allow a stated manufacturer automatic-eVoucher exception while otherwise prohibiting combinations with other offers. Consequently, “stack every coupon” is not a reliable general rule. Follow the rules for the actual programme instead. [S1][S2]12
- Zepbound's FDA label also contains important risks and contraindications. **FDA label, physical page 1.** [S5]5
- No. The checked commercial offers use “as little as” language and impose eligibility conditions and maximum savings. The pharmacy's processed claim and the applicable terms determine the patient amount; the headline alone is not a personal quote. [S1][S2]12
- The checked Zepbound and Wegovy commercial offers exclude the specified government-covered patients. Medicare separately describes the GLP-1 Bridge for certain beneficiaries, and that programme should not be confused with either commercial card. Ask the relevant administrator which route applies. [S1][S2][S3]123
- No. Novo Nordisk's PAP describes no-cost medicine for qualifying applicants. Wegovy's self-pay offer describes a purchase outside insurance under separate terms, including reimbursement restrictions. They require different checks and should not be presented as interchangeable. [S2][S4]24
- Not on that assumption. The checked Wegovy injection introduction limits the eligible offer to the first two 28-day fills, with a third fill reverting to the standard price. Confirm the actual product and current terms rather than carrying the introductory number into every future month. [S2]2
- Do not assume so. Zepbound's terms prohibit the specified combinations, while Wegovy's commercial offer describes a specific manufacturer eVoucher exception and otherwise restricts combinations. Ask the programme and pharmacy before trying to combine offers. [S1][S2]12
- Our check baseline is October 9, 2026. Lilly's reported card savings and Wegovy's specified introductory offer have December 31, 2026 deadlines; manufacturers also reserve rights to change or end their offers. Recheck official terms before relying on these amounts beyond those reported deadlines, not merely after an annual anniversary. [S10][S11]1011

| Cost | > **Quick answer:** GLP-1 savings cards are not interchangeable with insurance, self-pay offers or patient assistance. Start with the exact prescribed product and your coverage category, then check the current programme rules, maximum discount and refill price. Medicare has a separate GLP-1 Bridge pathway; a commercial-card exclusion does not settle all assistance options. [S1][S2][S3][S4] | Mapped claim |
| Cost | | Commercial manufacturer savings offer | Whether the prescribed product, insurance arrangement and patient meet that offer's terms; a minimum advertised price is subject to savings limits. [S1][S2] | | Mapped claim |
| Cost | Wegovy's checked commercial offer requires commercial insurance that covers the specified Wegovy product, not commercial insurance alone. [S2][S11] | Mapped claim |
| Cost | Zepbound's checked covered-commercial single-dose-pen terms describe a $25 minimum, with maximum savings of $100, $200 or $300 for the respective one-, two- or three-month fill and a separate annual limit of $1,300. [S1][S10] | Mapped claim |
| Cost | Zepbound's terms distinguish the single-dose pen and single-patient-use KwikPen, including separate commercial categories and package definitions. | Cost | Wegovy's checked injection self-pay terms include a $199 limited-time offer for specified 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg packages. [S2] | Mapped claim |

[S4] · For the Ozempic pen, the checked page says uninsured applicants must have total household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. It also says Medicare beneficiaries with prescription drug coverage will no longer be eligible to receive Ozempic through this PAP. Do not replace those product-specific statements with the income threshold shown elsewhere for other products. [S4] · The programme links to a current product list and warns that some medicines are no longer part of the programme for 2026. A medicine from the same manufacturer, or another product containing the same active ingredient, should not be assumed included. Check the exact product before completing an application. This guide does not imply that Ozempic assistance is a Wegovy offer or that the brands have interchangeable indications. [S4] · Ask the programme administrator which application and supporting documents apply to your situation. The PAP page describes patient and provider portions of the application and additional documentation in applicable circumstances. We do not collect income records, insurance identifiers, prescriptions or medical histories; provide sensitive information only through the programme's appropriate process after checking the destination. [S4] · No. Novo Nordisk's PAP describes no-cost medicine for qualifying applicants. Wegovy's self-pay offer describes a purchase outside insurance under separate terms, including reimbursement restrictions. They require different checks and should not be presented as interchangeable. [S2][S4]Novo Nordisk — published pagecurrent as of 2026-10-09
- Eli Lilly — US FDA-approved prescribing informationSupports: Zepbound's FDA label also contains important risks and contraindications. **FDA label, physical page 1.** [S5]Eli Lilly — US FDA-approved prescribing information — PDF documentcurrent as of 2026-10-09

- Eli LillySupports: Zepbound's checked covered-commercial single-dose-pen terms describe a $25 minimum, with maximum savings of $100, $200 or $300 for the respective one-, two- or three-month fill and a separate annual limit of $1,300. [S1][S10] · The following amounts were checked October 9, 2026. They describe prescription offers, not consultation fees or total treatment costs. Strengths identify the commercial packages being compared, not a dosing recommendation. [S10][S11] · | Zepbound single-dose pen: noncovered commercial insurance | As low as $499 for a 28-day fill of up to four pens; maximum monthly savings is wholesale acquisition cost minus $499. Up to 13 fills per calendar year, with valid patient HIPAA authorization. The commercial eligibility and exclusions above apply; savings end December 31, 2026. [S10] | · | Zepbound KwikPen: noncovered commercial insurance | One 28-day KwikPen: 2.5 mg as low as $299, savings cap $215; 5 mg as low as $399, cap $115; 7.5 mg as low as $449, cap $65; 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg as low as $449, cap $271. Up to 11 fills per calendar year with valid patient HIPAA authorization, commercial-card eligibility and exclusions, and December 31, 2026 expiration. The $449 amounts require the purchase-offer condition below. [S10] | · | Zepbound KwikPen: separate self-pay card | The same presentation-specific amounts and monthly savings caps above, with up to 11 fills per calendar year and December 31, 2026 expiration. [S10] | · | Zepbound KwikPen: $449 purchase offer and regular price | The first purchase of 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg or 15 mg receives the $449 offer automatically; continuing eligibility requires a refill purchase within 45 days of delivery/receipt of the previous fill. [S10] | · The 45-day rule is a purchase-offer condition, not permission to delay, accelerate or otherwise change treatment. Ask the programme which commercial or self-pay card applies before using a number from a different row. A remaining annual allowance does not override a monthly savings cap. [S10] · Our check baseline is October 9, 2026. Lilly's reported card savings and Wegovy's specified introductory offer have December 31, 2026 deadlines; manufacturers also reserve rights to change or end their offers. Recheck official terms before relying on these amounts beyond those reported deadlines, not merely after an annual anniversary. [S10][S11]Eli Lilly — published pagecurrent as of 2026-10-09
- Novo NordiskSupports: Wegovy's checked commercial offer requires commercial insurance that covers the specified Wegovy product, not commercial insurance alone. [S2][S11] · The following amounts were checked October 9, 2026. They describe prescription offers, not consultation fees or total treatment costs. Strengths identify the commercial packages being compared, not a dosing recommendation. [S10][S11] · | Wegovy injection self-pay: 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg packages | $199 for each of the first two 28-day fills for eligible new patients who have not redeemed an injection savings offer in the previous 365 days. [S11] | · | Wegovy tablets self-pay: 1.5 mg | Standard offer: $149 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $298 for two bottles (60 days); $447 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] | · | Wegovy tablets self-pay: 4 mg | Standard offer: $199 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $398 for two bottles (60 days); $597 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] | · | Wegovy tablets self-pay: 9 mg or 25 mg | Standard offer for either strength: $299 for one 30-tablet bottle (30 days); $598 for two bottles (60 days); $897 for three bottles (90 days). [S11] | · | Wegovy injection self-pay: standard 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg packages | Standard offer: $349 for one four-pen box (28 days); $698 for two boxes (56 days); $1,047 for three boxes (84 days). Applies when the limited-time offer does not apply. [S11] | · | Wegovy injection self-pay: HD 7.2 mg package | Standard offer: $399 for one four-pen box (28 days); $798 for two boxes (56 days); $1,197 for three boxes (84 days). Injection boxes contain single-dose pens, not tablets. [S11] | · For every Wegovy self-pay row above, the checked terms require a valid prescription for the brand being filled, a valid prescriber ID on that prescription, and an FDA-approved indication within Wegovy's labeling. [S11] · **Pharmacy discount cards:** Treat this as a cash-price comparison category, not proof of insurance or a manufacturer copay benefit. Medicare's [drug-cost help page](https://www.medicare.gov/basics/costs/help/drug-costs) says discount cards are not creditable coverage and purchases made with them instead of a Medicare plan do not count toward that plan's deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. [S17][S11] · Our check baseline is October 9, 2026. Lilly's reported card savings and Wegovy's specified introductory offer have December 31, 2026 deadlines; manufacturers also reserve rights to change or end their offers. Questions about this evidence record
What does this guide establish?
GLP-1 savings cards are not interchangeable with insurance, self-pay offers or patient assistance. Start with the exact prescribed product and your coverage category, then check the current programme rules, maximum discount and refill price. Medicare has a separate GLP-1 Bridge pathway; a commercial-card exclusion does not settle all assistance options. [S1][S2][S3][S4]

This evidence guide is educational and is not medical advice, diagnosis, individualized eligibility screening, or a treatment recommendation.
